Liquidation Channel is America's only true shop-at-home closeout network, and we are looking for additional freelance hosts that have experience on live tv. If you have ever sold anything on live tv, you will have a leg up on the competition, and others that would do well would be those that have done commercials and infomercials. If you are experienced in front of the camera, we can teach you the jewelry side of the business. You must have the TV skills to be considered for this position, I'm not looking for actors, actresses, models and people that have sold things but never been on television before, unless you have sold products in front of a large audience in the past live. With 24 years of live tv experience myself, I can tell you that tv is an entirely different animal. There are no "do-overs" in live tv.
To be considered, you must provide a resume and a head shot, no exceptions! A show reel would be even better if you have one available.
Freelance hosts earn $184 per day for a full-time day, which we consider four on-air hours or more, and half that for less. A normal day would be about eight hours, although there will be times when you may draw a twelve hour shift. Since we are normally live up until 1am, for the most part overnights are not a big part of the job. However, when we do big events, we do broadcast live 24/7 and overnight shifts will need to be filled by freelance hosts. We require all of our freelance hosts to live in the greater Austin area.
