GRACE, a supporting but important role. The main character David has an encounter with a prostitute the night before his mission. (no nudity or sex scene) Grace is an extremely important role because she will offer David the smallest amount of long-desired compassion. She is a moral compass for the audience, and acts as a sort of tuning fork for the viewer. She must become completely wrapped up in David as a person, and his loneliness must penetrate her, even though she has been through a lot herself and is quite jaded. Physical appearance is secondary to getting the character - submit if interested!

DAVID, the main character. David is a lonely man and always has been. He desperately wants to connect with others and sees going on this mission as his chance to do that, and be part of something historic. However, after being stranded, he has to come to terms with the fact that he's alone, again, just like on Earth, and things here are not much different than back home. The audience must feel sorry for David, David should show himself as a complex, emotionally compassionate man but one who comes to learn horrible truths about the nature of others. Physical appearance is secondary to understanding the character. Submit if interested!
