THE MAN - (Caucasian Male, 30s-40s, Skinny-Moderate Build)
The character of "THE MAN" is an middle-aged adult, one that is the lead character of the story. He is an average but mysterious character, as he is thrust into the story from the beginning scene with no recollection of who he is. His character is envisioned as having an unshaven face, short to mid length dark hair, brown or black, and average weight. The character carries many scenes by lack of dialogue, through facial expressions and body language. The character is also frequently outside throughout the story, as well as ready for physical acting as well, falling in one scene, etc. The character is important to the crux of the story, as it builds from his interactions.

LANTERN MAN (WOODSMAN) - (Caucasian Male, Late 30s-60s, Any build)
The character of the "LANTERN MAN" is basically a man who lives in the forest. He is a smaller role in the film, as he meets the main character and helps him at the beginning of the story. He is someone that has been detached from society, someone that has his head on straight, although chooses to live alone and by himself. He lives out of a tent in the woods, and wears old tattered clothes. He is well off, not homeless, but chooses to live in nature. He preferably has a beard and looks rugged from the outdoors.

RECEPTIONIST (Female, 20s-40s, Any build)
This character is the receptionist at a local hospital, who denies the main character the chance to see a doctor. The character is gentle, yet stern about their job, and seems like they are very experienced at what they do. The character has no preferred look, although they are female in gender.

SUSAN (Caucasian Female, Late 30s-Early 40s, Skinny-Average build)
The character of "SUSAN" is the lead female role in the film. She is an emotionally driven social worker, who does work with the homeless in a shelter. She helps THE MAN find out who he is, and how he got to where he is in the story. SUSAN is a bit of a lonely person at heart, and has lost something major in her life, to which she latches onto THE MAN in a platonic way to fulfill. The character calls for a very warm and welcoming person, with a very emotional side to them. Preferably skinny-average build, light-dark hair, in their mid to late 30s, to early 40s.

JULIAN (Caucasion Male, child between 8-11 years of age, Skinny average build)
The character of JULIAN is a very dynamic, playful young child. He is a friendly kid who meets and forms a relationship with THE MAN. He has an abusive father, but is too young to understand that is wrong. He is short, looks very similar to the man, dark hair, average build. The child is very smart and articulate, and can also be dynamic in their emotional state, as there are happy moments in the script, and very demanding sad moments as well.

FATHER (Caucasian Male, Late 30s - Early 40s, Any build)
The character of the FATHER is one that is intimidating, and abusive. His character calls for a psychotic, strong, and scary demeanor. He is a drunk, as well as borderline insane. The father is someone that represents the evil in the child's life, as well as the rival to THE MAN. He can be of any build, unshaven and possibly a beard, but most importantly a menacing appearance. He is the father of JULIAN in the script. He is also a larger supporting character in the cast.

POLICE MAN (Male, any age, any build)
A minor role, the character of the POLICE MAN can be of any build and age, but his character is blunt and has a few lines. He is basically a deterrence to SUSAN and THE MAN finding out who he really is. A facetious type character.

DOCTOR (Male, Early 30s-Early 40s, any build)
Another minor role is one of the DOCTOR. He has an extensive amount of lines for his role, and he is a very intelligent and trusting type character. The character calls for someone who can be serious and succinct in denoting medical information, and a clean cut, professional demeanor.
