Our small rural nonprofit in SW Washington is putting on the Mayfield Lake Summer Tunes series this summer. We'll be having a Swing Band Festival July 24 (evening) and July 25 (all day) and also the second annual Harmony Jazz & Wine Festival Sept 11 (evening) and Sept 12 (all day).
We're presenting this series to raise funds for scholarships and other community projects. At last year's first jazz and wine festival, we featured Michael Powers, Deems Tsutakawa, and Geoffrey Castle from Seattle, Shelly Rudolph from Portland, and others. (Mayfield Lake is about half-way between Seattle and Portland.) This year we are hoping to bring back some of last year's groups but wanting to add some new sounds too, especially since we've added additional dates.
