[THE DIVA] 30 years old, Multi-Ethnic, high-maintenance, demands being the center of attention in the studio, The Diva is booked out for the day in the studio and is recovering from a heavy evening of drinking, drugs and partying. RShe is like a cross between a mid-90’s version of Mariah and today’s Beyonce and Lady Gaga. She grows tired throughout the performance eventually demanding attention from her various assistants. She pays no attention to lowly Trevor except that she does mimic his song (savagely) in the booth. She is a lampoon of all the music diva’s past and present. Must be able to lip-sync. [THE PRODUCER], mid-40’s, African American male, The Producer is always cool and collected in his hip-hop casual style. He exudes success in this Dr. Dre-meets Randy Jackson kind of way and is always on the phone, blackberry or other device looking for the next act, schmoozing his girlfriend, his wife and setting up nail salon appointments for his rough cuticles. In the session he initially encourages the Diva, but comes around to prefer Trevor’s version of the song. LEAD (3)

[ALVIN], late 30’s, African-American male. Friends with Simon, his cohort in ‘thug-life.” Alvin is a product of the streets of a prep-school education and Ivy League Dual-Degree in Music and Anthropology. While his parents were away on managing their international law practice, Alvin developed his personality “Master Freeze” based on his favorite Batman villain. He sings back-up for The Diva in the studio. Him and Simon taunt Trevor but eventually come around to his style of music and performance. Musical training or ability to lip-sync required. [MAKE-UP ASSISTANT], mid-20’s, cool spunky female, spends her time putting the Diva together and is always chasing after her servicing her not only make-up but also as a bartender, and psycho-therapist. She is a little frumpy and utilitarian, taking her fashion cues from functional clothing lines like the Gap and J. Crew. She always has a trusty tool belt, fanny pack and rolling cart full of hairspray, brushes, smelling salts and anything else that might come up in need during the day. She tries her magic on Trevor but he doesn’t need that kind of assistance. FEATURED PLAYER

[THE DOG ASSISTANT/PERSONAL ASSISTANT], mid-20’s, flamboyant male. He is fully affected by the music-scene and proudly saunters around the room with The Diva’s Pomeranian, Poochie who needs almost as much attention as the Diva herself. The Sitter sleeps with the dog and finds that Poochie , who only pee’s on wee-wee pads will always urinate when watching Oprah or reality shows on Bravo. FEATURED PLAYER

[THE BOY-TOY], barely legal (19-21), teen hearththrob type, his look is that of Zack Efron. It’s almost inappropriate that a boy this young and good looking is under the employment of this cougar. His sole job is to hydrate the Diva with a hand-held mister. He views this opportunity to break into the Hollywood scene. He’s naïve, has no transferable skills, and would not be hirable for any other job if not for his pristine good looks. This is his time in the spotlight too.
