Margot: 17/18, a senior in High School. She recently lost a lot of weight. Pretty, but not a "pretty girl." She was never close to her half brother, Benny. Benny’s disappearance has had no visible effects on her life. Full nudity required, nonsexual, LEAD.
Jane: 40-45, Margot’s mother. She has always been closer to Benny than Margot. She is also the only one who is obviously depressed over Benny’s disappearance. She becomes a fake drug addict to help cope with her depression. She works a 9-5.
Benjamin: 40-50, Margot’s father. He has always resented Benny and been closer to Margot. When Benny disappears, he takes the opportunity to follow his dreams of becoming an author. In the process, he winds up exploiting his family, Benny especially.
Benny: 16, Margot’s younger brother; son of Jane and adopted son of Benjamin. The black sheep of the family. Mixed race.
Other small speaking roles: All ages / ethnicities.
