Looking for folks who have been laid off (and currently still are), and are interested in being a part of an exciting new web documentary/series. Don't want to give away too many of the specifics, but we are organized, ready to go, and hope to have a few episodes shot and distributed in the next month or so in hopes of pitching. There is already interest in the idea, we just need the right people.
WHICH ARE:
1. Curently laid off
2. Available 1-2 weekdays per week for 4-5 hours at a time
3. Are great in front of the camera. Not looks wise, just very personable, engaging and have interesting stories to tell, background.
4. Are willing to share your experiences, feelings, thoughts about being laid off, etc.
We are currently looking for 2-3 more "regular" players, willing to commit for 6-8 weeks of shoots, as well as potentially being a part of the creative process. This idea will blend a documentary style approach with some mildly scripted scenarios for humor.
Some of your questions:
1. Is this a paid gig?
-No. This is an ambitious project that may never see anything other then web distribution. Our hopes is to develop a few strong, well received episodes to then pitch elsewhere. Perhaps eventually, but not
yet.
2. Why should I even bother?
-Does it really take you all day to submit your resume to a few jobs? Let's face it, you've got some time, and we've got a fun, exciting project to be involved with that has lots of potential.
3. Do you have any experience doing this sort of thing?
-Yes and No. Lots of videos produced, but not an ongoing show.
4. Are you laid off?
-You bet. And prospects are not looking good so far.
