Hi! Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself to the community.
I will be patrolling the boards and attempting to answer your questions. If you have any, please be sure to ask in the right forum.
The purpose of this forum is for members to ask questions about working in the field. Anything to do with how to perform, questions on industry professionalism and basically about the enterainment industry as a career. Feel free to support each other and ask questions!
I will also be writing topics for your amusement, education and to develop our community. If you have something you’d like discussed or answered you can open a forum and ask! You may also IM me if I’m online, or send me an email for topic ideas. Remember, keep questions about the industry in the forums for other members to see and learn from!
I have only a few things about etiquette and the boards;
1-
You can express your opinions freely about any topic, so long as you don’t direct your opinions AT another member. For example, you can say about a movie, “I think that movie sucked”. You CANNOT say “you suck” to another member.Personal flame fests will not be tolerated on our boards.
2-
You can talk about most anything so long as its clean. I am a believer in free speech, but we do bear a bit of responsibility in that right. I’m not beyond having a little fun, but I think we all have a good sense of where the line is- lets not cross it. Remember, children see these boards.
Also, lets remember we're here to get "discovered" lets try to stay focused.
3-
In keeping with rule 2, I do not allow links to sites displaying pornography or other explicit material in the interest of these very young members. If you wish to share such material with another member, please do so through private communication.
If you are an agent posting auditions of this nature, please keep your posts professional and free of such links.
4-
Agents- DO NOT post for castings on the boards! You need to file your casting calls in the following area;
http://auditions.sta...rchcasting.com/
We do however encourage you to inform members of your calls within the forums and inform our members what you're looking for. You may also refere members to your audition page for more information. I believe getting involved with our members will not only help them become better entertainment professionals, but will ultimately help you find the right people for even the most difficult of roles.
Its about who you know... get seen! Get involved!
5-
To our members- If you aren’t getting jobs, its because you aren’t asking, learning and participating. Get into it! If I see you complain on a board, this will be my first response. The community is a powerful tool, get involved and you will get work!
REMEMBER TO LINK TO YOUR MEMBER PAGE OFTEN AND IN YOUR PROFILE AS FAVORITE SITE! This will help you get exposure every time you make a post on the site.
I truly look forward to developing this community. Best of luck to all of you in your search for fame!
